Gesture Processes v.2.

Gesture Processes is an exploration of how technology affects body gestures. Pictures of faces were captured in Bogotá and Banff in 2009 and 2012.  Gesture information was extracted using face recognition software. Using the information of each face, a sound composition was created.  The sound and video from each city was displayed on two separate screens and speakers. A camera captures the facial gestures of the audience as they view the screens. A third screen in the middle displays the real time image of the participant, which triggers a sound that alters the sound composition. This image is then superimposed with the faces pictures from Bogotá and Banff.

Real time face gestures modify the sound composition of each city.
